Since I'm coming up to my one year stamp-a-versary this month, I was inspired to get back to my roots! The first thing I bought when I joined Stampin' Up! was the Versamark ink and embossing powder, because I've always loved the look of embossed images.

Even though this card looks complicated, any beginner could make it!

I started with the Home to Roost set from this year's Sale-A-Bration. I love the image of the hay, and with the copper embossing powder, it gives the look of real hay blowing in the wind with the shine and texture. I simply swiped an embossing buddy across the base, stamped the image multiple times across the base at different heights with Versamark ink, added the copper embossing powder, and set the powder with the heat tool.

The Delightfully Detailed Note Card was an easy choice as a backdrop. The size of the card fit the images well, and it looks like clouds in the sky! I finished the card off with a "simple" greeting, in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The greeting really seemed to suit the feel of the card, but you could change the greeting out to just about anything.

If you'd like to pick up some of the supplies I used to make this card, here are the links directly to them! Keep in mind, the stamp set is FREE with a $50.00 purchase!
