Stepping Out Of My Comfort Zone

My go-to for starting a new card design is to have everything centered perfectly. It's my comfort zone, and I like my comfort zone!

But we never really grow if we stay in our comfort zone, right? So today, I decided to take a little step outside of the norm. I have a whole basket of scrap cardstock from previous projects that honestly, I'm usually too lazy to go through. So I scooped out a couple pieces (namely, the Whisper White and leafy DSP) and figured I'd make something from there. I also had a larger piece of the floral DSP that I've been waiting to use for the right project, and this seemed like as good a time to use it as ever!

I'm working on getting myself comfortable with layers that aren't lined up. I always see such beautiful projects done like that, but I can never seem to figure it out myself. But today, I'm happy with the result!

If you'd like to make a similar project, check out the list of supplies used below.
